Susan Carr joins the National Association of Social Workers with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, organizational development, and systems-level advocacy throughout Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Her career has focused on strengthening organizations serving children, families, and communities through data-informed strategy, relationship building, and values-driven leadership.
She has held senior leadership roles in Community Action, housing advocacy, media, and education philanthropy, partnering with social workers, educators, and human service professionals to expand access to essential supports. Susan's experience includes statewide and national collaboration, grant development, performance management, board governance, association leadership, and capacity building for organizations navigating complex funding and policy environments.
Grounded in the values of dignity, equity, and ethical professional practice, Susan brings a collaborative leadership style and a practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the social work profession. She is honored to support NASW Wyoming's mission and work alongside members advancing social justice and strengthening communities across the state.
