Samantha Satchell-Smith

Samantha is a licensed therapist and coach with over twelve years of experience working within the nonprofit sector. Drawn to the NASW and its impact on the lives of our communities most vulnerable through the legislative advocacy committee in 2009, Samantha has continued to work at the micro, macro and mezzo levels of social work throughout her career. Serving individuals, families, and communities while maintaining an ongoing passion and support for the NASW, Samantha most recently served as the Vice President of the NASW-WY Chapter where she saw firsthand the dedication with which our members serve.

A seasoned mental and behavioral health professional with executive leadership experience, and a history of leading dynamic teams to success in high intensity environments, Samantha draws on over a decade of program development and management experience. Passionate about investing in and lifting up the next generation of leaders within the field, Samantha is eager to engage, inspire, and mobilize Wyoming's NASW membership to expand and grow our reach.

Samantha graduated from The Ohio State University with an MSW in Social Work with a research focus in Human Trafficking and Alaska Native Historical Trauma. Samantha is currently a credentialed therapist in Wyoming and Montana.

A passionate outdoorswoman, adventurer and dog lover, Samantha seeks to enjoy the wild Wyoming has to offer with her husband as often as she can!
