Kick Off to 2022 Social Work Month
Mini-Conference and Awards Ceremony

The NASW Wyoming Chapter and the University of Wyoming Division of Social Work are teaming up for Social Work Month.


We are hosting a mini-conference and NASW Award ceremony on March 1, 2022, from 4:15 to 8:00 PM with two speakers/presentations.

This will be a hybrid event — so you can attend via zoom or in person at either the UW Campus in Laramie or the UW/CC Campus in Casper.

Ticket prices:


  • NASW Members attending via Zoom - $10
  • NASW Members attending in-person – $12.50
  • Non-Members attending via Zoom - $18.50
  • Non- Members attending in-person – $20.00
  • BSW and MSW Students - Free

Note: Eventbrite charges a small ticket fee at time of check-out.

Zoom links and in-person room locations will be announced before the event. For people attending in-person, masks must be worn per University rules. If Covid restrictions change by the time of the event, we will move to a virtual only platform.

Schedule and Speakers:


4:15 PM - Welcome

4:30 – 5:30 – Collective Impact: Model for groups and Originations to create Social Change (1 CEU) by Maia Marces, MSW Student, BA in International Studies and Criminal Justice, and Reinette Tendore, MSW

5:30 – 6:15 – Awards presentations (Food will be served on both Campuses – likely Jimmy Johns)

6:30 – 7:50 PM – Roofies, Restraints, Rape Whistles and Other Lies Law and Order Told Me: What the media is getting wrong about Sexual Assault by Patricia Alliot, MSW, LCSW

7:50 - 8 PM - Thank you’s and parting words
